My dream started with a bunch of my extended family and i drifting behind a giant boat, our floaties all connected to eachother and the boat by rope. the water was dark and the sky was always either ink black or a sickly grey. couldnt see land on any side, just other boats with tons of floaties like ours, passing people by as we went along and waving from our floats. The world had technically ended but i had no idea how or why, just that all we had was our boat just as other people had theirs. I decided to go into the boat and stopped to disuade two young cousins for messing around near the back of the boat. one of my older cousins scolded me for nagging but i told them its better to keep the younger kids in sight. they were silent before moving on. I ran into my grammy on my way inside and saw her lounging on one of the open balcony decks on the sides of the boat. she was shivering and i asked "do you need warm clothes grammy?". she explained to me that she hadnt had time to grab any of her clothes before rushing onto the boat. I told her to follow me to my room and id give her some, the two of us heading deeping into the boat. Inside was a maze of rooms with doors and architecture that didnt really make sense. some rooms were big, other no bigger than a closet, some with two sometimes three doorways in them connecting them to the web of other rooms. we came across my cousins room who looked like it copied mine, pink walls with hand painted murals on her walls. stopping to examine her room with my grandma i felt shame that she did what i had done but much better. I felt inferior. I shook it off and finally found my room after listless wandering but was shocked to see that my room was almost entirely baren save for a bookshelf and bed, pink walls with all murals gone. frantically i ran through the other rooms, finding my furniture bastardized and used in my cousins other rooms. toys, collectables, clothes, furniture, all of my material possesions gone and stolen by others. I felt a loss of identity and everything i'd worked for.
